1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the PlanToTrip application (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and PlanToTrip (“we,” “our,” or “us”). Please read them carefully.
2. Description of Service
PlanToTrip is a travel planning iOS application. The App helps you turn a trip idea into a day-by-day itinerary and keep its moving parts organized. The App provides:
- AI-powered trip planning and itinerary generation
- A trip chat assistant for refining plans, building routes, and answering travel questions
- Domain views for transfers, accommodation, documents, routes, and activities
- Document scanning that extracts structured fields (dates, addresses, prices) from photos or PDFs you choose to scan
- A Today view of upcoming tasks
- Read-only Apple Calendar awareness to schedule around your existing events
- Local and push notifications for upcoming or rescheduled tasks
- Sharing a trip — either as a read-only public web link, or by inviting other people to view and edit the trip with you inside the App
Trip content is stored locally on your device, except for a trip you choose to share with other people: that trip is also stored, encrypted, on our servers so it can sync between the people you invited (see Section 4A and the Privacy Policy). Some features (AI planning, chat, scanning, route building, sharing) require an internet connection.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
4. Account and Data
The App does not require account registration. There is no PlanToTrip account or login. Your trip data is stored on your device, except for trips you choose to share (Section 4A).
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your device
- Backing up your data through your preferred method (the App does not sync between your devices at this time)
- The accuracy of trip details, booking information, and personal documents you choose to record in the App
We are not responsible for data loss resulting from device failure, App deletion, or your decision to delete a trip.
4A. Sharing and Collaboration
The App gives you two optional ways to let other people see a trip. Both are off unless you start them, and you control them from the trip’s Share screen.
Public share links. You can publish a trip as a read-only web page. Anyone who has the link can open it, and can pass it on. The link is unguessable and you can revoke it at any time, but while it is live it is not access-controlled — treat it as public.
In-app collaboration. You can invite other people to view or edit a trip with you. By inviting someone, you:
- Give them a copy of the trip’s shared content. If you later remove them, stop sharing, or delete the trip, their access ends and the App removes the trip from their device the next time it runs. That removal is performed by the App, so it cannot be guaranteed: an app left offline, or an older version, may hold the copy longer, and anything they have already seen they may have kept by other means. Do not invite someone unless you are willing for them to keep what they have already seen.
- Accept that anyone holding an unexpired invite link can join. Send invite links only to people you intend to give access to.
- Represent that you have the right to share whatever the trip contains, including any information about your travel companions.
- Understand that a member you gave edit access to can change or delete trip content, and that those changes sync to you.
You are responsible for the content you share and for who you share it with. We do not review shared trips.
Certain booking details — booking references, ticket prices, passenger names, seat and baggage details, and scanned or attached documents — are excluded from sharing by design and stay on the device of whoever added them. See the Privacy Policy for the full list.
We may suspend or remove a shared trip that we reasonably believe violates Section 7 (Acceptable Use) or applicable law.
5. Purchases and Pricing
The App is free to download and use with a free tier that supports planning short, simple trips. Optional in-App purchases unlock the full Pro feature set (longer and more complex trips, advanced AI planning, smart rescheduling, priority support). Pro is available as an auto-renewing subscription or a one-time purchase:
- Pro subscriptions — Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly auto-renewing subscriptions.
- Pro Lifetime — a one-time, non-consumable purchase that permanently unlocks Pro on every Apple device signed in with the same Apple ID; not a subscription and does not auto-renew.
Exact prices for each option are shown on the paywall in the App before you confirm.
Purchase Terms:
- All purchases are processed by Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel in Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions. The Lifetime product does not auto-renew.
- You can restore purchases on a new device by tapping Restore Purchases on the paywall screen.
- Refund eligibility for in-App purchases is determined by Apple. To request a refund, visit https://support.apple.com/HT204084 or use Report a Problem in your Apple account.
For full purchase details, see the Subscription and Purchase Terms.
6. AI-Generated Content
The App uses third-party large language models to generate trip plans, route suggestions, document field extractions, and chat answers. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated plans, routes, and answers are suggestions only. You are responsible for evaluating them and deciding whether to follow them.
- AI suggestions are not professional advice (legal, medical, financial, immigration, visa, or otherwise).
- Schedule data, transit times, prices, opening hours, and travel restrictions can change. Verify time-critical or money-critical details with the relevant carrier, venue, or official source before relying on them.
- AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your specific situation. We do not guarantee that following AI-generated plans will result in a successful trip.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except where permitted by applicable law
- Interfere with or disrupt our backend servers or APIs
- Use automated systems to access the AI features in a manner not intended by the normal user interface
- Attempt to circumvent the paywall or access Pro features without payment
- Submit content that is harmful, illegal, or that violates the rights of others
- Attempt to extract or replicate the underlying LLM models or prompts
- Use sharing or invites to distribute harmful or illegal content, or to send unsolicited invites to people who have not asked for them
- Use an invite link you were not given, or attempt to access a trip you were not invited to
8. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, AI prompts, and content, is owned by PlanToTrip and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of all content you create in the App (trips, tasks, notes, attachments). We claim no ownership over your personal data.
When you share a trip (Section 4A), you give us permission to store, encrypt, transmit, and display that trip’s shared content for the limited purpose of operating the feature you asked for — showing the public page you published, or syncing the trip to the people you invited. That permission lasts only as long as you keep the trip shared, and it does not extend to any other use. It is not a licence for us to publish, market, or otherwise exploit your content.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- AI-generated content, route suggestions, or extracted document fields will be accurate or complete
- The App will be free from data loss
- Defects will be corrected within any specific timeframe
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PLANTOTRIP BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your use of or inability to use the App
- Any AI-generated content or suggestion you chose to act on
- Trip disruptions, missed flights, missed reservations, or other travel outcomes
- Unauthorized access to your device or data
- Third-party services referenced by or accessed through the App
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PlanToTrip and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
You may terminate your use at any time by deleting the App. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Past in-App purchases are subject to Apple’s policy; see the Subscription and Purchase Terms.
Deleting the App does not by itself delete trips you shared. To remove a shared trip from our servers and end everyone’s access, use Share → “Stop collaborating” (or revoke the public link) before you delete the App; otherwise the trip is deleted automatically on the schedule set out in the Privacy Policy. “Stop collaborating” also removes the trip from the devices of the people you invited, subject to the limits described in Section 4A.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notifying you within the App.
Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the App.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms remain in full force and effect.
